Jack Sullivan has taken to Twitter to clear up any misgivings over
West Ham’s pursuit of Argentine striker Jonathan Calleri, with the
hotshot confirmed as a new Hammers player.
The London Stadium outfit have been busy all-summer long looking for attacking reinforcements and were touted in the press as having concluded a 12-month loan deal to sign the Argentina international.
However, with no official confirmation from the club and the player representing his nation at the Olympic Games in Brazil currently, murmurs that other teams could steal in at the 11th hour have emerged.
Sullivan junior has been quick to put an end to any speculation over Calleri’s future and has confirmed that the South American will join Slaven Bilic’s men once international clearance is granted.
Andy Carroll started as the loan striker for West Ham in the 2-1 defeat to Chelsea on Monday night, with Calleri’s impending arrival to offer Bilic another option in the final third.
