Lionel Messi is expected to play at Malaga on Saturday after recovering from a slight muscle strain.
The Argentine was taken off at half-time of Barcelona's 6-0 La Liga mauling of Athletic Club last weekend in what manager Luis Enrique called a "precautionary" measure.

Messi then didn't travel to Bilbao for Wednesday night's Copa del Rey first leg against the same opponents, a game they won 2-1 , so that he could recover in time for the trip to La Rosaleda.

Barcelona need to win at in-form Malaga to keep up the pressure on 'winter champions' Atletico Madrid, who lead them by two points at the summit, and ahead of archrivals Real Madrid .
Sergio Busquets this week claimed that it was Diego Simeone's Atleti that were their closest rivals for La Liga glory:

"Right now it's clear that Atletico are more of a rival [for La Liga] than Real Madrid.
"They're playing better every week and I think they'll be there right up until the end," said Busquets.
